Frequently Asked Questions

  • A local, physician-owned and physician-governed medical group empowering primary care excellence and creating a sustainable future for the practice of independent community based medicine. Hana Hou delivers infrastructure that supports physicians allowing them to participate in risk-based contracts and value-based care arrangements with health plans and payers.

Currently, large health plans are contracting with individual physicians, which means an individual voice for the physician. As a group, individuals that belong to the same organization have a collective voice, all voices are one.

Hana Hou accentuates our urgent commitment to eliminating the burden, elevating the financial freedom, and celebrating the success of independent primary care physicians’ practices and the local commitment to communities in Hawai’i.

We believe physicians will choose to join and stay with Hana Hou based on the merits of membership and the fact our shared vision is to create a medical group for community physicians.
